The Benefits of Textile Recycling

According to WRAP, around £140m worth of clothing is sent to landfills each year. What a waste! Just because you have outgrown a style and do not wear half your wardrobe, does not mean that others will not enjoy them. You should never throw any clothes in the bin, as once they get to the landfill, they just stay there. No decomposing. No helping the environment. Just emitting dangerous carbon emissions into the environment. So, let’s do better.

Why not reuse your unwanted clothes? Less than 5% of our collections end up in landfills. When we collect your unwanted clothes from our textile banks, our staff split them into different categories, depending on the fabric and condition. Let someone else get a new lease out of your unwanted clothes and keep them out of the bin!
